North Durham’s “Project Youth” plan to bring Craig Kielburger to Port Perry A collection of North Durham’s community leaders has broken new ground in creating op- portunities for inspiring Scugog’s youth. The newly formed initiative, North Durham’s Project Youth, is a six-member group dedicating itself to helping young minds grow into leaders within their communities. Their first venture will bring world-renowned speaker and activist Craig Kielburger to Port Per- ry. His scheduled appearance has been confirmed for this fall. Kielburger will be addressing Grades 7 and 8 students from schools across North Dur- am. Kielburger, who has appeared throughout the world’s media including Oprah and 60 Minutes, is best known for founding “Me to We” and “Free the Children”.
