Continued from page 42 about survival skills. Wil commented that climbing Mount Kilimanjaro was “a good challenge, and well within Wyatt's ca- pabilities.” He always tells the boys to set goals, know their limits and do their best. All the Venturers who take the Outdoor Education program at Port Perry High School get As because of everything they learn through scouting, Wil pointed out. Retired from GM, Wil says that volunteering as a leader is “fun” and “it keeps him young.” Despite the frigid temperatures early in 2015, Wil and his troupe braved the elements for two winter camping trips. Last summer, Wyatt had a great time working on the zipline at the CNE. Future plans are to study Out- door Education and Recreation at Fleming College. Maybe join the military. He’d also like to establish his own company, taking tour groups on canoe trips. Another goal is to tackle climbing Mount Acon- cagua in Argentina. Hopefully his friend Sam from Venturers will accompany him on this adventure. Whatever Wyatt Wilson decides to do, no doubt the 16-year-old from Blackstock will succeed.
