Antrim House Pub, which operated at the corner of Mary and Water Street for many years closed its door last November and sat empty for most of the winter. Judy Collins, of Jude’s Sports Bar, leased and renovated the building. She re-opened the popular restaurant/bar on April 12, under the name The Pub. Sun- nybrae Golf Course, at 1430 King St., Port Perry has been purchased by Dorie McDonald and Summerlea Golf Club, located at 10500 Russel Rd., Port Perry is now owned by Amy McQuaid. And that's all the news we have on the golf scene, “fore” now! Another new business, Cabin General Store, will swing open its door mid-May at 249 Queen Street, the former location of dbsilversmith designs. Owned by Alan and Kristine Wisniewski, the store will carry unique, nostalgic gifts, home and cottage décor and more. It appears as if work is underway at the former Bargain Shop in the Port Perry Plaza. The sign has been removed and action is underway inside. As mentioned last month, discount variety store Dollar Tree will open at this location, but there has been no word on a date for the store opening. We hate to see vacant stores along Queen St., but it’s been almost two months since Inspirations on Queen St. closed it’s doors - leaving a storefront vacant and its windows covered with brown paper. Hopefully this one will be filled up soon. SS | PARKHURST Fr 68 Queen St., Port Perry 905-985-2521 www.brocks.ca BR@CK’S '
