Bob gets a ‘thumbs up’ for donation Dear Editor I would like to give a ‘thumbs up’ to Bob at B.M. Welding Inc. for building and donating the first of three raised seating benches in the heated area overlooking Pad 2 at Scugog Arena. Now we can see the ice surface from a seated position. Over the past few years I have been working with township staff to find a way to raise money, as funding was not available for the raised seating. We have four family members playing hockey several times a week and have to stand inside to watch the games. With my health condition, I am unable to go into the cold, so now we can stay warm and see the ames. To date, I have been able to raise a portion of the funds required for the project. B.M. Welding built and donated the first bench riser and we now have three more people interested in donating towards the other two risers. All that is needed is one more donor so the cost of the two benches can be split evenly. I would like to thank all those who have helped make this project possible. We have ndopted the Community Nursing Home, and along with the community’s support, it is our intention to provide each resident with a Christmas gift.
