100 Scugog women show they care The first inaugural of a new group called “100 Women Who Care Scugog” was held on Tuesday, November 4, attracting a large turnout of enthusiastic women. This new group brings women together to make a huge impact for their community, in just one hour. It is an opportunity to network and to learn about charities in our local community which need financial support. Women may join as an individual, or as a group of up to four people. The financial contribution is $100 per meeting, per individual or together as a group. Meetings are held quarterly and last for one hour. During the meeting charities are nominated from the membership. Three of those are selected at random and the nominator is then asked to give a five minute presen- tation about the charity, its works and its needs. Each of the attending members will then vote for the charity they feel deserves the money raised from that meeting. The votes are counted and the winning charity is announced. North House Transitional Housing was selected as the first recipient of the “100 Women Who Care Scu- gog” donation. Janet McGhee, who nominated North House, was presented with a beautiful picture signed all the members who which will total more than $6,000. “It was definitely a feel good moment for all,” she said For further details, or if you wish to become a member of “100 Women Who Care Scugog” please visit the website at: www. rwhocarescugog. www. pslanulonlienete com Rea Ra.
