Karina Bray guest soloist at Choral Fest Port Perry’s Karina Bray will be the guest soloist at the Port Perry United Church annual Christmas Choral Fest on Sunday, December 14. Karina is will known in the area, having grown up in the community. Fire Concerts and Noon Hour Concerts in Waterloo, which has made her very well known in her ity and outer ding areas. Karina graduated in 2013 with an Honours Bachelor of Music Degree in vocal performance from the Wilfrid Laurier University Music Program, un- der the tutelage of Professor Daniel Lichti. She continued to do a one year post degree study in languages, focusing on German, French, and Italian. Prior to her graduation, she performed Poulenc’s Gloria as the soprano soloist along with the WLU Choirs. She was a solo participant in the Wendy Neilson Masterclass. She also performed the role of Helga in Neil Weissensal’s Gisela in her Bathtub, performed with the opera class of Laurier. Karina has also performed the roles of the Witch, from Hansel and Gretel by Humperdink and Rosina from The Barber of Seville, by Rossini, in Laurier’s Opera Excerpts as well as the full role of Susanna in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro with Opera Laurier in 2013.
