This was the first franchised, fast food outlet to open in Port Perry, and its modern new look was easily identified by its bright red steel mansard style roof and large Dixie Lee logo across the roofline. Dixie Lee operated at this location until about 1996 before closing down it’s Port Perry location. The Antrim House Pub operated at this location until the fall of i fli Pub. In the 2013. After closing, the building was reopened as The t above photo, traces of the Dixie Lee red roof can be seen peeking through parts of the roof, which had been painted green. After closing the local franchise, Dixie Lee sold the building to the owners of Haugen’s Chicken BBQ in Manchester. Dave Hillier, who operated Antrim House Pub at 56 Water St., leased the building from the new owners and moved his pub and restaurant to the former Dixie Lee site. Mr. Hillier later constructed the large wooden patio overlooking Lake Scugog. Antrim House Pub operated at this location for about 17 years before it closed in October 2013. Most recently the building was leased to Doug and Dorothy Scott, who with business partner Judy Collins, opened “The Pub” on April 12, 2014. By J.
