Auxiliary Tag Days a huge success Dear Editor Thank you very much for your coverage in the June edition of Focus on Scugog, with regards to the Auxiliary of Lakeridge Health, Port Perry Tag Days. Your support of the Auxiliary over the years has been wonderful. Our community has been very generous again this year and we were able to raise $8,345. All of these funds will go towards our pledge of $350,000 to the Port Perry Hospital - “Your Hospital, Your Future” campaign. Thanks also to all the volunteers and Auxiliary mem- bers who participated in the Tag Day fundraising in our community. Sincerely Linda Elliot, mda Romano Tag Day Co-ordinators Students deserve a “Thumbs Up” Dear Editor I would like to give a big Thumbs Up! to the students of the Senior Associated, Practical Learning Program, | Multiple lity classes and the Club at Port Perry High School for all of their hard work in making the school property fronting onto Queen and Rosa Street so much more attractive. These students have led the way, with the help of the metal shop, construction and horticulture students, in reviving that green space and making it truly a gem at the “Top of the Hill” both inside and out. The new trees, flowers and brick pathway with arch in the property have not gone unnoticed! Bravo!! Sincerely, Lori Martin Port Perry our cover This month's cover photo catches Elin Meyer as she was heading out along the river leg of Canoe the Nonquon in June.
