(Author unknown) More Christmas Celebrations Wayne and Elaine Bradt of Caesarea hosted the Bradt family for the Christmas celebration on Boxing Day, at their home with 29 family members present for the festive occasion. Relatives were present from Thunder Bay, Oshawa, Lindsay, Little Britain and Caesarea. What a wonderful get- together for all. Twenty-two Cartwright Dyno Snowmobile Club members held a great New Year's Eve party at the club house to see the old year out. Lots of food and goodies, etc. made for a tremendously enjoyable evening! At the home of John and Linda Ar- buckle of Nestleton, Christmas guests were Mac MacDonald and Isobel MacDonald, John's aunt and cousin from Whitby and grand- mother Mrs. E. Ostler of Lindsay. On Christmas night the Arbuckle family and Mrs. Ostler visited John and Bev. Goslin and family of Blackstock. On Friday, Jan. 3, John's cousin Ken Arbuckle from Denver, Colorado was a caller at the Arbuckle home. Belated "best wishes" to daughter Colleen Arbuckle, who celebnated her birthday on Sunday, Jan/5. Alan and Judy Frew, Diane and Ilene of Nestleton, hosted the Dart family for Christmas dinner. A great get-together. ~~ Nestleton United Church On Sunday, Dec. 29 at 11:15 a.m. the friendly greeters were Ina Davis and family, with a very fine atten- dance at Nestleton United for the first Sunday after Christmas. Rev. Dale Davis conducted the service and used as his sermon "Reflec- tion" with Carla Davis reading the scripture from I Samuel and Luke. Many readers assisted the minister, and all church members joined hands and sang "Christmas Auld Lang Syne' with Carol Mairs on the piano. A special service with plen- ty of variety. Dwight and Carla Davis received the offering. After closing with "Go, Tell It On The Mountain" Benediction and Three - Fold Amen. A social hour downstairs was a 'highlight" - a friendly get acquainted hour, before heading home. Community Church Caesarea On a mild spring like day, Caesarea church people assembled for worship with an average con- gregation. Robt. Heayn of Bowman- ville took as his text first Peter 2:2. The title of his sermon was '"'Grow- ing In Christ." Kathy Watts played for the service. The Sunshine Club will commence ome Gelehrate SUBARU'S again on Thursday after school. All children are welcome to attend. Nestleton Presbyterian Church An average attendance on Sun- day, Dec. 29 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Wm. Fairley in the pulpit, with Joyce Taylor the able organist. Responsive Psalm was No. III and scripture readings were from II Samuel and Luke 2. The book of the Bible for this Sunday was Zephaniah which means "Hid in God," and was demonstrated by a red lantern and a story that we do not hide from the light of .God's love. Dorothy Lee taught the Sunday School, and Rev. Fairley"s sermon was on the "mystery of the Spirit." You are cordially welcome to worship with us. . Family News . Bruce and Elaine Fish, Lisa and Laurs of Oshawa, were Sunday afternoon guests with Neta Fish of Cadmus. An interesting visit was enjoyable. : Neta Fish helped Dora Gillson of Port Perry Villa, celebrate her bir- thday during the weekend, complete with a homemade lovely birthday cake and a thermos of coffee, etc., to make Dora's birthday special. Our best wishes from this area of Nestleton for many more happy oc- casions to Dora.
