Alan Ernest Wilson Alan Ernest Wilson, beloved husband of Margaret (Lockyer) and loving father of Glenda and her husband Lloyd, Suzanne and her husband Hank, and ever loved by his grandchildren Valerie, Kim, Brent and Darcie passed away at Oshawa Gener- al Hospital on November 26, 1991 after alengthyillness. Born in Port Colborne on March 18, 1917, he was the third son of the late Charles and Christina Wilson. Brother of Al- fred, Winston, Lloyd, Jack and Vernon as well as sister Flor- ence (predeceased). After mov- ing to Brooklin at an early age, Alan worked for Frank Batty, Brooklin Flour Mills and Onta- rio Motor Sales. In 1941 he married Margaret Lockyer and together they man- aged a gas station and snack bar in the north end of Brooklin. After spending almost three years in the Canadian Corps, they purchased a general store in Nestleton and had a very suc- cessful business for fifteen years. Upon retirement from the store they purchased a small farm nearby and enjoyed this new way of life until 1978. Following the sale of the farm, they spent their summers at a cottage in View Lake and their winters in Florida for sev- en years. Since 1985 they have enjoyed living in an apartment on Simcoe Street in Oshawa. Alan will be sadly missed by his wife and family as well as his many lifelong friends. A truer, loving man would be hard to find.
