Mrs. Stafford, host of CKVR Television's popular daytime talk shows "Good Company" and "Summer Scene" will be the guest speaker at the upcoming Scugog Women dinner meeting. During the 10 years Mrs. Stafford has hosted the televi- sion programs, she has inter- viewed more than 3,500 of the most interesting and influential people in the fields of medicine, the arts, sports, fashion, nutri- tion, psychology, parenting and self development. . Mrs. Stafford is using the knowledge she has gained by meeting North America's top human potential specialists to write a book on being the best one can be. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to create a marketing firm that promotes the sale of Stoveguards, a stove safety de- vice. Concerned about the future of her community, Mrs. Stafford is a member of the Royal Victoria Hospital Auxiliary. She visits the hospital weekly, spending time in its long-term care ward, visiting and feeding the pa- tients. In her spare time she works for Mary Kay Cosmetics as a senior consultant. Mrs. Stafford lives on a hobby farm on the outskirts of Barrie with her husband John and son Tyler. Her home is the perfect setting for her to indulge in her favorite sport, riding and show- ing horses. She is a member of CHAPS (Country Horse and Pony Society) and the Kortright Centre for Conservation. Mrs. Stafford is featured in "The World Who's Who of Wom- en" and "Women of Canada." She has received awards from the Variety Club of Ontario, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and the Easter Seal Society for fundraising efforts and telethon hosting. Mrs. Stafford will speak on being the best one can be at the Scugog Women dinner meeting on Wednesday, April 29. The meeting will be held at the Country Oven restaurant on Highway 7/12, just north of Manchester. Cocktails begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30. Mrs. Stafford will speak at 7:30.
