The experiments were part of the "Scientist in the School" program which is sponsored by the Ajax-Pickering branch of the Canadian Federation of University Women. Scientist Lucy Radziszewski talked to the students about the proper- ties of magnets. Ms. Radziszewski, a native of Poland, completed her Masters of Science in her homeland before coming to Canada 10 years ago. She travels daily to different classrooms in Durham Region and says she enjoys the challenge of bringing science to young children. Helping her out with an experiment (pictured above) are Gregory Langford and Lindsay Glanville. The choir sang three beautiful anthems under the leadership of Darryl Linning- ton. Rev. LePage's message was "Resurrection: Now and to Come." Marion Blackburn closed with a solo. If you didn't sign up for a time to have your photos taken give Peggy Bredin a call. Roy and Dorothy Hope had a large family gathering with all of their family for Easter. Ralph and Dianne McCul- lough and boys have been holi- dayingin Florida for a week. Grant and Eva Hunter have arrived home after spending the winter in Florida. Hope you will soon be getting around bet- ter Eva. Sunday guests with Merv and Ilean were Pearl Gostick, Bon- nie, Paul, and Laurel Solomon, Wayne, Diane and Matthew Pugh. The Friendly Visitors Bake Sale and Flea Market will be on Saturday at the Community Centre. There will also be a draw on a hand made quilt. Come early and get the good buys of the day.
