She had a heart attack and while being taken to Oshawa by ambulance her mind was invad- ed with various thoughts. At one point she seemed to see a light at the end of a tunnel and we realize what this usually means. But we are glad her time hadn't come yet. She is just too young to leave us yet. Two guests from the Museum Board, Carol Fagel and Rhonda Fraser were present to discuss - misunderstandings re: the sale of food and refreshments at the July opening. If you haven't already re- served your tickets for the beef supper, I'm afraid you are out of luck now. So here's hoping for good weather. The International Good Age Show coming up in Toronto will again be entertained by the Golden Slippers. Although they are presently short two mem- bers, they can still make lots on noise. We promised you Mrs. Ethel Freeman's present address so you can send her your thoughts and wishes. So many children who have ridden on her bus and are now grown, remember the treats at holiday time and her jolly speeches. Then too there were trips, Junior Choir and Id out Christmas concerts. Even at the Nursing Home, residents were heard to say, "Here comes Ethel and George." Even though life has dealt a difficult time, we know they will bounce back. Ethel loves a good laugh so send her your funniest stories. In view of recent happenings, I find the following quite appro- priate. The late Dr. Aggrey, the great African enducationalist, who worked tirelessly for unity between the races is famous for his saying that on a piano you can play some sort of a tune on the black notes alone, and some sort of a tune on the white notes, but for real music black and white must be played to- gether. So, he argued, black and white races must learn to live together in harmony. Perhaps one of his less well known sayings was that educa- tion "Is not just a matter of the 3 R's but of the "3 H's" , head, hand and heart. We may not all be great schol- ars, but the moral and spiritual development of which Dr. Ag- grey spoke is a contribution we all can make to the enrichment of life. \ a Pa a Al a GH EY LC («au ABO ii 5th 4 ae ss 0 re, gsc gets on 32
