The Fidelis Unit will meet on Wednesday, May 6 at 1:30 p.m. in the church. the evening group meets that day at 8 p.m. in the church. All ladies are wel- come. At both meetings plans will be made for our 30th Anni- yersary Church Service on May The overall winners of the Car Rally last Saturday went to the Brian Lee Family who fin- ished first with a record time of two hours and 22 minutes. Could it have been Janice's great driving or was it the brain power of Brian, Katelynn and Russell. Great job! Top point winner was the Hooker car. Top time winner was Karen Bryans. Car time prizes went to Meribeth Sea- brook and gang, and Audry Baylis and co-pilot Wanda. Point prizes went to Jessie Phil- lips gang and Carl Baylis's car load. Other prizes: Dressed for the occasion in full car rallyat- tire were Steve Quantrill and Dan Garrett. Cute and Boobie prize went to Gary McClechin. "Did he ever make, it back?". The best or the worst car rally story went to George Timms. Yuk! Free car wash draws went to Neil Hunter, Ron Williamson, Olivero's and McSween fami- lies. Many thanks to everyone who helped to make this a great success. "Who did take the twine?" Several neighbors and friends attended a bridal show- er on Sunday for Tina Molinaar and Bill Raines at the home of Carolyn Menzies in Port Perry. Our sympathy goes out to the family of Mr. Gordon Hood who passed away last week. On Sunday, Mrs. Jean Har- old and sons Alex, Steven and Patrick were baptized at the morning church service in Greenbank United Church. We do extend our sympathy to Mrs. Eunice Rahm and fami- ly. Her mother Mrs. Fishley age 95 passed away last Monday, April 27. Our Greenbank Women's In- stitute May meeting is to be held on May 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Helen McKean. We are making plans for our 30th anniversary to be held on May 281in Greeenbank Hall. Don and Helen McKean at- tended the 40th surprise birth- day party for son David in Oshawa on Saturday. On Sun- day I attended a baby shower for Julie and John Barnes in Scarborough. Julie is Dons niece It is wonderful to see and meet so many of the family and relatives at such a happy occa- sion. The students seemed to be enjoying themselves as well as the audience. A good job! Birdfeeder Many thanks to Jim Rush- ford, who so willingly repaired the damaged birdfeeder. The birds are happy once again. Spring Physical Fitness The students will begin run- ning laps to develop physical fitness and participate in the kilometre club. Track and field events will begin training with high jump in the gym and jumping in the pits. Pitch In On Wednesday, May 6, a pitch-in will take place on and around the school grounds. The students will be asked to help pitch in to pick up garbage along the sides of the roads to the park and we will also be cleaning the park. So we would hope all students will partici- pate.
