Held at Harwood Secon- dary School, the event was at- tended by more than 330 stu- dents, trustees, parents, teachers, administrators and other board employees. After a delicious breakfast prepared and served by Mr. Bernie Hengst and his students from Food Services at Harwood Secondary School, entertain- ment was provided by Panther Jazz of Pringle Creek Public School. Conducted by Rory McGrath they delighted the au- dience with several appropriate selections. Art Consultant Dan Tomlinson worked with Sue Pidlubny and students at E.A. Fairman Public School and Paul Crane and students at Glengrove Public Schcol to create and co-ordinate the at- tractive displays. The highlight of the breakfast is always the presentation of special awards for outstanding contributions to education in Durham. The Clare Wooldridge Award for Education Assist- ants, donated by Megan Elliott was shared by Andrea Amer at Hillsdale Public School and Elizabeth Morash at Cedardale Public School.
