A guest speaker, Bob Almack will be on hand to discuss Food Land Issues. Everyone is wel- come. Also, at this meeting, there will be updates on DENs cur- rent projects. The Air/Water sub-committee is working on Pesticide Information Kits for spring distrubution, and the Waste sub-committee is work- ing on a 3Rs Booklet to be Dur- ham's "Beyond the Blue Box" resource. There will be a report on the 1992 Walk-A-Thon held at McLaughlin Bay Wild Life Reserve on May 1 to raise funds for DEN and other environmen- tal groups in Durham. There will be no meetings, following this one, until Wednesday, September 16, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. in Courtroom #1, at 132 Church Street, Bow- manville. Regular meetings are held five times a year on the third Wednesday of January, March, May, September, and November. DEN is a non-profit volunteer organization working to facilia- tate discussion, education and co-operation in environmental issues among concerned indi- viduals and environmental groups in Durham Region. By emphasizing networking and education, DEN seeks to en- courage individuals and groups to share information and work together on common issues.
