BELLEVI EW EQUESTRIAN GENTRE EAE A 3 SREE celebrate her 90th birthday at the Community Centre. Pearl was born at Brougham in Pick- ering Township, the daughter of Thomas and Sarah Philip. She had four brothers and two sisters. Pearl grew up and met Frank Gostick after World War I and were married and farmed for many years at Claremont. They had a son Gordon and daughter Ilean. Frank and Pearl retired in Stouffville and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary there. After her husband's death, she moved to Union Avenue in Port Perry to be closer to her daughter. Pearl has seen many changes over the years and is the last one left in her family of seven and has two sisters-in-law who attended on Saturday. Pearl still does her own house work in her apart- ment and bakes her special cookies for her nine grandchil- dren and seven great- grandchildren and friends when they come for a visit.
