Mr. Fernley is one of three riders who began the 550 m in Amhertsburg and will carry on to Ottawa for July 1. PHOTOS BY KELLY LOWN Ride For Canada came through Port Perry on Sun- day. The ride which began in British Columbia symbolizes an expression of affection for Canada on its 125th anni- versary. Riders are carrying a sad- dlebag of letters containing congratulatory notes to Can- ada which will be presented to the Prime Minister and the Queen at a special cere- mony in Ottawa on July 1. On Monday morning 26 riders left from the Port Perry snowmobile Club to transfer the saddlebag to the next stop along Highway Percy Mountjoy led the Ride For Canada tour into Port Perry.
