The big hit of the game for the Legionaires was by catcher Jeff Ashton who clubbed a three run homer to score Ryan McQuade and Chris Jones who had earned "free passes" to first. First baseman Ryan Moynes bashed a second inning two run triple. Ryan McQuade hit three for three and scored four runs while Ryan Fraser was two for two plus a walk. Darryl Dalton {Double "D"} had two hits and a walk. Casey VanSchagen had the other Port Perry hit despite playing with a sprained wrist (he also alertly scored from third base when the catcher was arguing a call with the um- pire}. Michael Versage, - Reid McTaggart, Scott Jeffrey and Jon Froats ("Kirby"} played alertly defensively to cover their positions. Chris Jones recorded the pitching win on a one-hitter and sent 11 batters directly back to the dugout by strikeouts. Good luck next week against Bramalea lads. They can be beaten!
