Blackstock-Nestleton Outdoor Service On Sunday, June 28 at 10:30 a.m. the service was held at the home of Harold and Lois Luke on Beacock Road, with an excel- lent attendance. Linda Kyte played the keyboard and many. lovely old hymns were sung...all joining in to- gether. A joint choir sang nicely together. Service closed with O'Canada! Many enjoyed a fellowship meal following the service. Charles and Lila Clarke of Prince Albert, mother Christina Henderson of Edin- burgh, Scotland...visiting for a few weeks in Canada...and neighbors Sam and Mabel Caw- ker, Scugog Pt. Rd. What a ter- rific afternoon...a great get- together! On Tuesday evening the Sam Cawkers enjoyed entertaining Christina Henderson of Scot- land, and Russell and Edda Bowman of St. Christopher's Beach for evening dinner. On Wednesday afternoon we were pleasantly surprised to have John and Doreen Ingwerson of Southampton, England, for a visit. We hadn't seen them for over 40 years; how our tongues did wag! A wonderful visit! The Caesarea Fireworks for Canada's Birthday, held on Sat- urday night at the Caesarea Hall, with entertainment, re- freshments, fireworks, spon- sored by the Scugog Regatta As- sociation and the Community Hall, was quite a successful venture. Congratulations to the committee in charge! The Cae- loca Fireworks in Caesarea a successful venture sarea people are going ahead with the Lake Scugog Regatta and new blood is coming in. They have held several meet- ings during the winter. This will be the 60th year in opera- tion for the Regatta. A great record! We commend the able committee!
