Following the struggle, the teens ran west along Circle Drive, with Mr. Share in pur- suit. "I hadn't gone far when it felt like I'd been shot in the back of my leg," he said, but found out later at the hospital that he'd pulled a muscle. Mr. Share gave up the chase, returned home and drove to the police station where he reported the incident. On the advice of police, Mr. Share then drove to the hospital where he was treated in emer- gency by Dr. Brown, before being released. Speaking to the Star from his bedside Monday morning, Mr. Share said as a young man he was always taught to respect his elders and was shocked that a teenager would kick or punch an elderly man. "I'd forgive anybody for any- thing, but I don't like to be abused and won't be intimidat- ed to the point where my life becomes a misery," he said. The incident is of grave con- cern to Mrs. Share and her daughter Dianne Cooke of Seagrave, who just can't believe something like this would hap- pen in Port Perry. Durham Regional Police searched the area Sunday night but were unable to locate the youths. "Scugog's Community Newspaper of Choice" J.
