We entered a float in the parade and set up a petting zoo which included 12 chickens, a calf, a lamb, two goats and a pony. The petting zoo was a big success with the children in at- tendance, especially the pony rides. Luckily we only had to deal with one leaky diaper all day. The most recent Poultry Club meeting was held on Aug. 1 at Urs Kressibuchers Broiler Farm. We learned the names of the various parts of a broiler hen and during this month our leaders will be visiting each member at home to see where our chiekens are housed and how we are progressing.
