Barr, a left winger is 5'9" and weighs 165 pounds. He is a left- handed shot and is wearing jersey number 6. Originally Dresden, Barr from now how off the leauge champions calls Oshawa home. He played minor hockey in Dresden. Barr has been in the Junior C league for three years. He said he was attending Durham College and still wanted to play hockey so he tried out for the ModJdack squad. Last season Barr scored 13 goals and added 12 assists. He picked up only 37 minutes in penalties. Barr has no question about the MoJacks being a contender once again. Giacalone, of Oshawa, played right wing for the MoJacks for three years from 1987 to 1990. Menzies, of Port Perry, played centre for four years from 1988 to 1992. Menzies will be working with the players on penalty killing and power plays and Giacalone on defensive systems. Giacalone served as assistant captain for two of his years with the ModJacks, and Menzies was captain of the team for two years. Although he does not attend the games on a regular basis he said he does check to see how the clubis doing. When the club changed to Mother Jackson's, a contest was held to name the Junior C club. Mr. Jackson said two kids came up with the name Mo- Jacks and it has been the name ever since. On October 6, 1991, prior to the season's opening game of the organization's 20th season, the club rolled out the red carpet to salute the original executive of the franchise. It was an eve- ning to pay tribute to those who made the franchise possible. 'I'he MoJacks hit the ice Octo- ber 4 this year to begin the club's 21st season of Junior C hockey in Scugog Township, and to strive for the team's fourth league championship trophy. Twenty-year-old Mizener, is 6'3" and weighs 180 pounds. The right defenseman shoots right handed and is wearing sweater number 21. He played minor hockey in Flamboro. A new addition to the "should do well MoJacks' blueline, he is coming over from the Rocton Real McCoys of the Junior C league. Last season he contributed four goals and nine assists at the Junior C level. Mizener moved to the Oshawa area to attend college and said he was attracted to the MoJacks' organization because of its previous success. He said given some time the ModJacks this season. Davidson, 5'10", 165 pounds is a left handed shooter. The 17-year-old played minor hockey in Oshawa. Last season he played on the Oshawa Kiwanis Midgets. Davidson collected 61 points as a Kiwanis Midget. He scored 36 goals and 25 assists. He also picked up 124 minutes in penalties. He said he came to play for the MoJacks because of the club's reputation. "There is a tradition of good hockey teams. The players are treated well by management and there is great fan support," he said. He is also optimistic about the MoJdacks' chances this season. "With the veterans and the new players signed, there is a great chance (for the team) to repeat as the champions," Davidson added.
