Does anybody want to know how many shopping days till Christmas? The Toronto Santa Claus Parade is this Sunday! I'm glad the Port Perry Santa Claus Parade isn't until Satur- day, Nov. 28. Attention Fellowship sisters, there are still a few who have re- quested a ticket for the annual Christmas dinner but haven't purchased it as yet. Tickets must be bought by Thursday, Nov. 12 at the latest. Please call Tracy at 985-9083 or Kate 985- 4577. Also don't forget, if you can't go to the dinner, please make sure your gift will be there. Sympathy to the Zidner fami- ly in Robinglade on the passing of Christiane's grandfather in Ottawa. Robinglade Estates Women's group meets this month on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 8 p.m. sharp. Ladies please check your agenda and see if you signed up for either the diet dish or sweet tray. (There is some confusion as to whose turn it is). Also la- dies are reminded to have their material and scissors, their own mug, $1 for the 50/50 draw, their Christmas goodies to ex- change and swap and last but not least a container to take your share home! Beth and Scott Wilson have returned from their wonderful honeymoon in Brazil, S.A. where they visited her brother and his wife. Maurice and Marydale Tap- scott, Norman and Betty Tap- scott attended a surprise 80th birthday party for cousin Bill Tapscott of Manchester. The party was held at his daughter's "home in Oshawa. Sunday evening several friends attended the service at Goodwood Church where Rev. Nancy Waterman was guest speaker. On Nov. 11, Remembrance Day, the children of Epsom School will be presenting their Remembrance Day Program at Uxbridge Health Care Centre. Nov. 13 is a P.A. Day. The staff will be attending work- shops in several locations in Durham. There will be no class- es for the children. Thanks to Mrs. Ballagh who decorated the children's faces for Blue Jay Day making a memorable day for staff and students. Thank you to Beth Wilson. The staff of Epsom wishes to express appreciation to the many who volunteered to drive students to many events in the past two months. Mrs. Cordon thanks the driv- ers took the two kindergarten classes to Nature's Bounty, an apple orchard, south of Utica. Such a wonderful day and they had apples for everyone and two pumpkins to bring back. I must tell you this last little item for this week. Epsom had 45 runners in this cross country season. At Port Perry High School Rebel Cross Country Run, they competed against students ~ from S.A. Cawker and Good- wood Schools. Twenty-four medals were awarded at this meet, Epsom winning 12, S.A. Cawker 11, Goodwood 1. At last week's Durham North Meet at Trillium Valley, our eight-year-old girls and eight- year-old boys' teams placed first, (to be continued next week).
