The hymn, "He Lead- eth Me", was sung. Florence Ashton was in charge of the study, which concluded our study on Japan. Our last study was "Joining Hands in Mission across the Sea." The Ladies' Bible Class will meet on Wednesday evening of this week at 8 p.m. at the home of Sheila Parrott. Several ladies from Ashburn attended the bazaar and bake sale at Mount Zion Church last Saturday afternoon. Don't forget to come and hear the Torchmen at Burns Church on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. It promises to be a good evening for one and all. [Last Sunday was a special gervice of Remembrance at Burns Church. Rev. Kenneth Horne from Markham took charge of the service. The ser- mon was titled "The Perils of Peace," the text being Amos 6:1. On Remembrance Day we honor the lives and the memo- ries and the sacrifice of so many who risked all for peace and freedom. Let us remember with thanksgiving those who have paid its costly price.
