Epsom Public School to take part in parade This Saturday, Nov. 28 is the date when Epsom School will participate in the Santa Claus arade. The local media has made us aware there are a number of videos on family life education. They are being made available for parents to view at Epsom at 1:30 p.m., Nov. 24. You are in- vited to attend and view them. Greenbank and Epsom Pub- lic Schools are looking forward to a visit from Cartwright Sec- ondary School's junior concert band. They are coming to Greenbank Dec. 1 from 10-11 a.m. The children will learn about the instruments in the concert band and will have the pleasure of listening to some great music. On Dec. 6 the W.I. meet again at noon at Mrs. Strouds for a fin- ishing touch to our workshop, "entertaining with a flair" - a noon luncheon. The Bethesda Reach W.I. will be manning a booth for the Women's Institute at the Royal - Dec. 12. The meeting on Wednesday evening will be at the home of Marg Beattie. Remember we must start at 8 p.m. sharp. Thanks. For many years Uxbridge seniors took bus trips. A per- centage of the money was paid by the bus company and put in trust by the one who made the plans. This money has now been used to buy the chairs for the new senior's building. I would also like to mention the gift of a clock from the Credit Union and one for the game room from Turner Ashenhurst. There will be a "Hymn Sing" in the St. Thomas Anglican Church in Brooklin, Sunday, Nov. 29 at 6:30 p.m. with the combined chorus of the ¥.psom- Utica United and St. Thomas Anglican Churches including choir, anthems, solos, organ, pi- ano, keyboard and flute. Every- one welcome. A set of keys have been found on the road near 180 Medd Road. Phone 852-6607 if you think they belong to you. Epso News by Jean Jeffery Everyone was going some- where this past weekend. Just to tell you of a few of these - sev- eral enjoyed the Gipsy Princess in Port Perry. The Uxbridge Players also had a full house at the Music Hall with the production by the Uxbridge Players. Several attended the Royal Winter Fair. Congratulations to our 4-H members. Bethesda Reach 4-H Club had an achievement program when they joined the Bethesda- Reach Women's Institute at the home of Mrs. Stroud on Satur- day at noon where the ladies were holdirg a workshop on en- tertaining with a flair. Also on Saturday there was a huge fun loving crowd at the Community Care Bazaar. Eve- ryone had a ticket or two on the many lucky draws. Tombola, a new idea was very popular. The most loved man in town was there, Santa Claus, of course, followed by a photographer. Then the puppet show was real- ly great. Thanks to everyone who came to make this a best ever for Community Care. The beef supper Saturday night at Utica put on by the Day Care Centre was also a high- light. Paul and Shirley Baster and Gail and Prentice spent a few days last week at Kitty Hock in North Carolina. Congratulations to Susan Gourlie who was an honor stu- dent at Port Perry High School this year. We are all very proud of you. o A Ken and Beth Catherwood were Sunday guests with her mother Ruth Ashton.
