The Isles fought back and Mark Cosway tucked the puck in the corner behind the Bramp- ton goalie. The ref whistled the play dead as he couldn't see the play from the blue line - behind the play again. The score re- mained 2-1. Two more goals by Brampton made the final score 4-1. All our boys played good defensive hockey which resulted in a scoreless first period. Whitby scored the first goal but within minutes Trevor Weisflock fired one in for Port. Assisting on the goal was Mike Milligan and Dean Van Camp. The next goal was slapped in by Mike LeFort, assisted by Mike Wiseman. With only seconds left on the clock fans felt confident of the win. NOT! Whitby snuck one in to tie the game. All the boys put forth an excellent effort and showed their fine abilities. Saturday night the Auction- eers played a victorious game in Peterborough. The first goal of the night was scored by Matt Skerratt assisted by Tim Jones. Peterborough jumped ahead with two goals, but determined Dean tied it up with a pass from Trevor Weisflock. The only goal of the second period was scored by Mike LeFort, assisting was Jeff Tarbotton. Outstanding goal tending by Thomas Lee and Darcy Ste- phens plus strong defensive plays by Gerard Timmers, Scott Duncan, Dane Gray, and Tim Jones kept Peterborough off the scoreboard for the rest of the pe- riod. The third period saw Port pop in two more goals. The first by Trevor Weisflock assisted by Mike Milligan. The second by Matt assisted by Trevor Weis- flock. Peterborough rounded out the score with 45 seconds left in the game making the fi- nal score 5-3 for the Auction- eers. Sunday the rep tem competed in a tournament in Apsley. The first game was a tight checking affair with Port winning 3-2 against Minden. Jeff scored the first goal of the day, assisted by Mike Wiseman and Mike LeFort. The second was drilled in by Dean, assisted by Jeff. The third was also by game M.V.P. Dean Van Camp, assisted by Trevor Lance. Our team proceeded to play their second game against En- nismore. The outcome was a shut-out game for our goalies sisted by Matt and Scott Dun- can. The sixth goal and first hat trick of the season was scored by Trevor Lance, unassisted. The next goals were by Mike Milligan, assisted by Trevor Lance; Mike LeFort, assisted by Mike Wiseman; Jeff, assist- ed by Mike Wiseman. The 10th and final goal of the game was scored by Dane Gray, assisted by Mike LeFort. Game M.V.P. was awarded to Matt Skerratt. The win against Ennismore clinched a spot in the champi- onship final. Overhead Doors Pee Wees The Scugog Overhead Doors Pee Wee Bs played host to Whit- by on Saturday Nov. 21 losing another 6-3. The guys came out flying and popped in their first goal just under one minute off the start. Quick goals usually set a team's momentum but not tonight. The Doorsmen fell off to sleep and let the lively Whitby team tie the game up a few moments lat- er. As the game continued, the Doors seemed more content to watch the rest of the game as Whitby took command. The score could have been double YES digits except for the continued fine play of goalie Shane Nor- ton. The three goals came from Levy, Puckrin and Gibson and honorable mention goes to Gib- son as this was his first time up from house league with the Pee Wee 'B' team.
