12 PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, February 9, 1993 COT VY] Pore. ' Bou m: wh Letter: Inaccurate information To the Editor: _ Itappears that there is a lot of Inaccurate information about AIDS being spread around in your recent Letters to the Edi- r. People are certainly entitled to their moral or political agen- das, so I'm not here to criticize either "side" on this issue. But because your paper has now printed many biased letters about AIDS and AIDS educa- tion, it may have unwillingly contributed to the spread of in- accurate information. I think your newspaper now owes it to the people of this com- munity to print an article which outlines the strict medical facts about AIDS -- without the politi- cal and moral agenda of either "side". : There are enough misconcep- tions about AIDS. By allowing this debate to continue without letting people know the cold, hard truth about AIDS you may be unwillingly contributing to those deadly misconceptions. Respectfully yours, Mark McMillan, Prince Albert. P.S.1 am not trying to guilt trip the editor, but since the debate rages in your pages and this paper is really the only local y public forum for debate, it is also the only place to get people pure information.
