Malmont Atom As drop two Port Perry's Malmont Farm Atom As have begun their Playoffs against Collingwood and after two games this past weekend it's obvious that it's go- ing to be a long series. Colling- wood came to town Friday night and before our boys even caught their wind they were down 2-0. Giving the opposition a couple of goals advantage is nothing new to these guys though, noth- ing that fourin a row can't cure. Ryan McQuade started the comeback midway through the first with the helper to Brett Clouthier. In a strong second period for Port, Brad Johnston got things rolling with assists to Brad and Ryan. Ryan then got in a race for the puck withCollingwood's goalie who was probably wish- ing he was still back in the cage when Ryan swooped around him and scored the third goal. Brett and Murphy Irving got the assists. Brett then bagged what proved to be the winner, Ryan and Jeff Ashton drawing the assists. - Collingwood got' one more CRTC 29. 01 Cablesystems Inc., Bri Island/Maple Grove/Waters Bea Beach/Ecart Marina, offices dur contact the 211°, il Decision . Quite a good game for both sides with goalie Mike MacLennan making some fine saves late in the third when Col- lingwood was pressing. Sunday afternoon was the next clash between these evenly matched teams and Port knew what was in store for them. Well, maybe not! Collingwood came out on fire and for the first five minutes there was an awful lot of heat down in Port's end. The boys had to consider them- selves lucky to be down by only a goal at the end of the first peri- od. : Brett scored on a nice effort with Ryan-assisting to make it 2-1 after one. The second period was a lot more of the same as Colling- wood added two more to make it 4-1 after two. This gave our boys something to think about while the ice got a flood and when they came out for the third there was a whole lot more effort taking place. An unassisted goal by Brett and then a deflected shot by Jeff made a hockey game out of what was starting to look like a les- son in hustling. - With the score 4-3 Port had some quality scoring chances but couldn't bag the equalizer. -- Collingwood added another into the empty net at the buzzer WINDSHIELD? ald FEBRUARY 26/93 ORT PERRY auto glass & trim id, == + WINDSHIELDS + STONE REPAIRS OR WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT + SAFETY GLASS + AUTO UPHOLSTERY + MARINE UPHOLSTERY + BOAT TOPS & SEATS + MOORING COVERS + SUN ROOFS 139 Water Street , Port Perry 985-8507 e Free Mobile Service in Durham UND UTD CRI AEE) SEND ANSE) AUS AUD ARN) SUNY GON RN) SUN) TN) MINN (URN EEN) SND OWN) ANN an + VINYL & CONVERTIBLE TOPS + INSURANCE CLAIMS + PICKUP TRUCK SLIDERS + DOMESTIC OR FOREIGN | | | i | I | I | | | i i | EXPIRES | | i I i i | i | | | I i i All Work Guaranteed Midget Bs sweep Ennismore aside in four straight Canadian Tire Midgets took .game three in their series with Ennismore with a 7-1 winin En- nismore. Game four on Saturday night to make the final 5-3. The key to this series is going to be for Port to come out flying at the drop of the puck because this Colling- wood team can put them in a big hole in a hurry if they don't.
