For the past four years, con- stables Brian Hall and Doug Cavanaugh have been spending their summers patrolling Lake Scugog and a portion of Lake Simcoe as the Marine Patrol Unit. This year will be no exception as the two-man team will be hit- ting the waters again in time for the Victoria Day weekend. Equipped with their relative- = ly new 27-foot Baha cruiser, purchased at the beginning of last year, the team will be a vis- ual presence on the water. This summer they will be even better equipped to do the job as a number of features have been added to the cruiser in- cluding better rescue equip- ment. Constable Hall says there is a chance the boat could be equipped with a Mobile Data inspections this summer will be a sticker. Once a vessel is in- spected, a tag will be placed on the boat designating that it has been checked. This will prevent repetition, Constable Hall says.
