Ss pe Nowe "Scugog's Community Newspaper of Choice" Frank Real Estate come from behind to defeat Emmerson A "gutsy performance" is the only way to describe Saturday's come from behind 4-3 victory by Frank Real Estate over Emmer- son Insurance in the Bantam House League playoffs. Trail- ing 2-0 almost halfway through the second period and playing with only nine players, the team got a much needed goal from Steward Bruce to narrow the gap at 2-1. Emmerson had gone ahead 2- 0 earlier on goals by Daren Kin- nunen and Jeff Clarke. The Bruce goal however seemed to ignite the Frank team as they tied the score at 8:59 on a shot from Ian McClean, then went ahead on Randy Palach's break- away goal. Before the end of the period Emmerson came back to tie the game on a goal by Dwayne Vanderligt, The third period saw good ac- tion at both ends with goaltend- ers John Babcock and Ian John- son making great saves. Frank finally notched the winner with 1:43 remaining in the game as Kent Johnson went in to score. Emmerson pulled goalie Bab- cock in favor of an extra attack- er but to no avail as Frank hung on for the 4-3 victory. Other point getters in this game were John McCourt with two assists while Mark Dunn and Steward Bruce picked up singles for Frank. Daren Kinnu- nen and Jason Vader added sin- . gle assists for Emmerson. Playoff action continues this week in the Bantam House League. Join The Club!
