Scala lost this one but then they never looked back. Goalscorers for Scala were Ash- ley Van Shelven and Travis Pickard. Assisting on Travis' goal was Tom Keeble. Scala then played Dixon Au- tomotive from Newmarket and came out on top 10-0. Ashley picked up a hat trick. Travis Pickard had a strong game as he netted five big goals for Sca- la. Adam Brain found the mesh twice and Ryan Williamson, whose been playing a strong de- fensive game, put one past the goalie. Jon Chambers had two assists while Ashley, Travis and Tom Keeble each had one assist. Tom Keeble played a strong game between the pipes. Scala met Big V in the conso- lation game and again came out winners with a 9-1 win. Scoring for Scala was Ashley netting five goals and picking up two as- sists this game. Travis Pickard notched a hat trick. Tom Baker scored the other goal helping take his team to victory. Steve Martyn picked up a pair of as- sists. ' Big V's lone goal was scored by Alex Wordley, assisted by Eric Beiers and Lisa Bonser. Big V dropped their first game of the day to Peterborough Roo- ney Electric. In their second ame of the day they played Dixon Pencil from Newmarket and won 4-0. Eric Beiers notched a pair while Scott San- derson and Alex Wordley each scored one. Scott, Alex, Eric and Scot Harper each picked up an assist. Big V finished the day in the consolation game against Scala. Doug Short played great for Big V between the pipes. " Emiel's started their day against Dixon Automotive from ewmarket and came out on top 4-2. Scoring for Emiel's were Josh Martyn with a pair and THANK YOU Blaine Kinnunen and Jerem Pare each with one. Keyin Ed- wards had four assists - one for each of Emiel's goals. Other as- sists to Spencer Bedell with two, Luke Newman and Tyler Wooten each with one. Emiel's then met a strong Whitby squad and in sudden death overtime lost 4-3. Excite- ment was the name of the game in this match. Scoring for Emiel's were Tyler Wooten notching two and Luke New- man with Emiel's other marker. Blaine and Alex Bedell each picked up an assist. Corey Branton played two strong games in net for Emiels. Chris Jamieson and Jus- tin Sheehey each picked up one. Earning assists were Brad Fraser with three, Paul Shri- ley, Justin Sheehey and Dave mminga with two and Ben Stevenson with one and Chris Jamieson with one. Larocque then met the strong Peterborough team and gave it their all to end in a 2-1 loss. Corey Wiatrzyk scored La- rocque's lone goal with Ian Par- liament and Dave Kamminga each assisting on Corey's goal. Daniel Lee played well in net for Larocque in both games. Peterborough and Whitby played in the championship game and Peterboro ended up winning 65-1 to end the tour- nament.
