Third place was won by Doug and Karen Ka- dowaki, Duke and Sandra Brunt. The election of officers resulted in two elections to" form the executive. Results are - Past President - Dave Petrie; President - Mark Graham; Vice President - Carol Gray; Secre- tary - Janet Van Camp; Treas- urer - Jodi Duff. Reps from Mixed League - Dave Aldred, Lois Flett, Tracey Cochrane and Jack Massie; from Men's League - Fred Ford, Peter Lock- hardt, John McNamara and Merrill VanCamp. Four repre- sentatives will be named from the afternoon league at the windup pot luck dinner on Tuesday. Merlin Suggitt, only charter member of the club spoke of his pleasure at the interest in the club. He also expressed appreci- ation to retiring Treasurer Ge- rald Kelly for his many years of service. The evening concluded with a dart game. On Saturday afternoon close to 200 friends and relatives gathered at the C.E. Room for Open House in honour of Carl and Jean Adams' 560th wedding anniversary. The Maid of Hon- our of 60 years ago - Margaret Down, and Best Man Bill Ne- mis returned from Florida and were both at the celebration. During tea at the beautifully decorated tea table were Etta Dingman, Jean Dingman, Mar- garet Flintoff, Margaret Down, and Phyllis Cowle. They were pleased that their only aunt Aunt Verna McCabe came from Windsor to attend the party. During the afternoon trib- utes were paid to Carl and Jean by their minister and friend Dale Davis and their eldest daughter Pat Van Seggelen on behalf of her brother Dave and sisters Marilyn and Carla. Petrie and Tony Duivesteyn while Cam Porter, Elizabeth Peeters, Mary Mackie and Paul McIntyre won 4th place. Appre- ciation was voiced to the spon- sors, to the Club and to the ice makers Bob Strong and La- verne Sutton by several of the skips. This event marked the conclusion of the curling for this season. On Saturday evening the Curling Banquet and Awards evening was held at the Parish Hall of the St. John's Anglican Church. President David Petrie welcomed the curlers and their spouses after which Merrill VanCamp said Grace. A deli- cious dinner prepared and served by the members of the A.C.W. was enjoyed. Randy Scott, guest speaker reviewed the history of Junior Curling over the past twenty years at the Blackstock Curling Club and gave ideas of how to encourage the rebuilding of this excellent program. This was prepared and served by members of the U.C.W. Jean and Carl enjoyed their first limousine ride when they were driven to Greystone Stables where 30 family mem- bers gathered for the dinner. The evening was spent in fun and games back in the C.E. Room with 30 family members. y it was a day of memories for this popular couple.
