Born on August 7, 1911, near Little Britain, he was raised on the family farm by his parents, the late Wesley and Ida Cornish (nee Smith). He was the young- est of three brothers Frank, Claire and William, and sister Mary Rose (all of whom prede- ceased him). - On November 18, 1939, he married Anne Beecroft at Bolso- ver. He is survived by his wife of 58 year; two daughters Pat and her husband n Tozer of Dwight/Muskoka, and Peg and her husband Al Somers of Oril- lia; and two grandchildren Lau- ra and Doug Tozer. Active in the electrical con- tracting business in Oshawa for 33 years, Harold co-founded Hill-Cornish Electricin 1943. A member of Northminister Unit- ed Church, he served on its Board of Stewards for 22 years. In 1969 he retired to his beloved cottage on Scugog Island.
