Nestleton United Church On a fine sunny morning ' April 18, 2nd of Easter Sunday, - brought quite a number of wor- shippers out to the service. Rev. Pleasing choir numbers were sung by the trio, Shirley, Kay and Janice, with organist Karen Yellowlees at the helm. Nestleton Women's Institute Annual Meeting The April meeting was held on Wednesday, April 7 at 1:30 p.m. The hostess was Neta Fish and president Rika Wygerde opened the meeting with the Ode and Collect. Gwen Malcolm was the organist and warmly welcomed home after their win- . ter holiday. Rika read a poem ! "Advertising the Institute." Minutes of the March meeting were read by Neta Fish and the treasurer's statement given. Roll call was answered by pay- ment of dues. An invitation was read for W.I. members to attend 90th birthday party for Grace Jack- son in Nestleton United Church. Neta gave the motto "A program I would like to see for the coming year." Pennies for Friendship were collected. The article re - the Adelaide Hood- less stamp was discussed. Winnifred Davison reported on the recent District Executive' meeting held at the home of Margaret Ford in March. The May meeting will be held at the Nestleton Community Centre on Wednesday, May 5, and the annual Plant and Va- riety Auction held. For the pro- gram Bertha read "I would know it's Easter season" and all sang "Easter Parade." The con- tents of the mystery parcel was . guessed by Margaret Ford, who | won the contents. Nestleton Presbytyerian Church With an average attendance, Rev. Fairley conducted the reg- ular service at 11 a.m. in Nestle- ton Presbyterian Church. Joyce Taylor was the capable organ- 1st. TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Scugog is considering making application to the Ontario Municipal Board to change the Ward Boundaries to create five Wards instead of four. This would be' accomplished by the following: Remove Poll 8 from Ward 1 (Castle Harbour, Cawkers Creek, Prince Albert) and add to Ward 2. Then divide Ward 2 in half giving consideration to further population growth to the two new wards. An illustration of this proposed change is available from the Township offices.
