On Wednesday, May 5 the Blackstock Women's Institute held its' regular meeting. Presi- dent May Shortridge welcomed the 13 members and one visitor and after Grace, lunch in keep- ing with the theme of the meet- ing was enjoyed. Following the Institute Ode and Collect Pat Sleep introduced the guest speaker Kelly Ewing of the Mis- sissauga of Scugog First Nation Indian who gave a very infor- mative talk about the Indian culture. She told about the store and building their new headquarters. is Luke thanked Kelly and presented her with a gift of appreciation. The Women's Institute gave a donation to the Scugog Shores Museum. Following a short business meeting the meeting closed with the singing of O Canada.
