On Wednesday, April 14 a small egg named Humpty Dumpty was pushed off a wall near his home. Some local eggs saw the bullies who pushed Humpty off the wall and imme- diately phoned Egg 11. The egg carts were there immediately to take Humpty to the local egg factory where he is waiting for the glue to dry. The bullies were chased down by the egg beaters and carted away in the egg carton. The bul- lies names cannot be given at this time. The bullies were tak- en to the local frying pan and were charged with attempted murder but were too young to be prosecuted. They were sent back home. Carl Hansen of Uxbridge was visiting at the John Hansen home for the weekend. Happy 7th birthday for Kevin Hansen on May 17. The kindergarten pupils toured the farm of Doug Wilson last Thursday. The Women's Institute will meet May 26 at the home of Marg Bruce. Bring a treasured doll; also a grandchild. Hostess- es are Marg Bruce, Dorothy and Marilyn Munro. There will be a bridal shower for Maria Breznikar and her fi- ance Frank Scalia in Epsom United Church Sunday School rooms on Friday evening June 4 at 8 p.m. Ladies please provide lunch. Last Saturday, Marydale and Maurice Tapscott celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a host of friends and rela- tives. Congratulations from all of us. - Mrs. Arthur Powell and daughter Debbie paid a week's visit to Cuba recently. Margaret Cope of Orillia was a weekend visitor with Betty and Norman Tapscott. Mable and John Lehane visit- ed with Ruth Ashton recently. They had just returned from a trip to the British Isles. John was born in Ireland, one of a family of 11. Many are still in Ireland. Mable also had rela- tives to visit in Ireland. Ten members of Bethesda Reach W.I. attended the Onta- rio North District Annual at Gamebridge last Wednesday. Corrine Croxall gave an inter- esting talk about her trip to Holland to attend a A.C.W.W. last summer. There was also a beautiful demonstration of flower arrangements.
