The Seagrave Community Sports Centre is a beautiful ad- dition to our community park and the grand opening will be Friday, June 11 at 7:30 p.m. Everyone in the community is encouraged to come out and take part in the festivities. The refreshment booth will be open for service. You might want to take in some of the exciting baseball games as this weekend is also a big tournament (12 mens teams and eight ladies teams). Seagrave Church News o "Our Church and Our Com- unity" was the theme of the Sunday School Anniversary on Sunday which was led by the superintendent, George Hill. The prayer of approach was giv- -en by Alexis Stevenson. The children presented a skit depicting different people and their place in the community and they also sang "Song of Pentecost". Jennifer Cook and Cassie Snider both played pia- no selections. Rev. Michelle Hofman of Port Perry kept the children's attention in her pres- entation on community living. Mrs. Darlene Hill read the scripture. A social hour was en- joyed afterwards. Seagrave Church Service will be cancelled the next two Sun- days to enable our people to do the Sunday School Anniversary services next Sunday at Green- bank and June 13 at Pinedale, both at 11:00 a.m. The Seagrave UCW will meet this Wednesday, June 2 at 8:00 p.m. at the home of Jean Nod- well, 21 Ridgeview Drive, Port ~ Perry.
