pe -- 30 - PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, June 1, 1993 Youth soccer Soccer News Under Six Soccer at the Under Six level is new to Port Perry this year, and if the first week is any indi- cation, it will no doubt be one of the most entertaining spectator sports in town. The first game for Laurentian Bank was some- thing of a mad scramble against a slightly more organized Man- vers team, who won 1-0. Hon- ourable mention goes to Cory Jones for his tireless effort to warm up on the sidelines. Smith & Smith Big V had a real barn-burner against J & D Carpentry, ending in a 4-4 drawn. Mark Forderer got his first hat trick of the season for Big V, and Shane Taylor picked up a point as well. Mi- chael McKenna and Jonathan Hamelick played a strong game for Big V, and Devon Brooks performed well for J & D. Air Durham didn't fare so well against Re-Max Scugog, as they were shut out 4-0, despite a solid effort by Graeme Flem- ing. Tina Wansbrough was cou- rageous in net, as she was kept very busy indeed.
