The Ladies Bible Class met at the home of Bernice Gardner on Wednesday evening. The meet- ing opened with a call to wor- ship by the president. The hymn "More About Jesus" was sung. Also called in to see Bruce and Jackie Andrews and son Mark and the family mutt "Otus." Enjoy your week! 4-H Club holds first Veterinary Science meeting By Katie Coates On Tuesday, May 11 several people from Port Perry and sur- rounding area gathered at the OMAPF office for the first meet- ing of the 4-H Veterinary Sci- ence Club. After everyone ar- rived, we got to know each other by selecting a partner, inter- viewing him/her and introduc- ing them to the rest of the club. e also learned about the respiratory systems of different animals from sheets we re- ceived earlier from our leader. We then took on the task of electing our clubs executives. Karen Wilson and Cameron Nixon were nominated presi- dents, Tracy Wilson and Sa- mantha Diotte were nominated vice-presidents, Erin and Mark Vernooy were nominated secre- taries, Kimberly Coates and Mi- chelle Stainton were nominated treasurers and Brooke Misasi and Katie Coates were nomi- nated press reporters. To finish off the meeting we looked at the respiratory tract of a pig (which was very inter- esting), and we also looked at x- rays taken of a dog.
