Last Thursday evening, the Community and members of Burns Church were shocked and saddened to hear of the sud- den tragic death of Bill Gard- ner, as a result of an accident on his property in early evening. Bill was highly respected by all who knew him, always taking time to chat with everyone and a cheery smile for all. Bill was a very devout member of the Burns congregation, having served as elder for nearly 27 years. Ruth was the daughter of Walter and Verna Trull who lived across the road from Hopkins at one time.
