"A Family Tradition for 127 Years" Beach band to be in Blackstock § at fairgrounds The feeling of the beach in the middle of Blackstock? That's the sensation you'll get if you're at the fairgrounds on July 17 as the area is trans- formed into a large beach com- plete with palm trees and sand. The Kokomo Beach Band will provide the music, featuring many of the Beach Boys hits. The licensed event will also feature a number of chances for the public to win prizes, as there 18 a contest for the best beach costume for women, men and children. The tickets are $10 in ad- vance and $12 at the door and areon sale at Masterson's Coun- try Convenience and the Port Perry Star. Children under 12 are free. William Jack Healey Jack was born on October 23, 1921 in Vaughan Township. He was the son of the late Ross and Irene Healey. Jack worked in his parents general store in Saintfield for years. After moving to Port Perry he was employed at J.J. Gibson's chicken plant as a truck driver. He worked at Hou- daille factory in Oshawa before his retirement in March 1992. He was a taxi driver for Villa Taxi for Don Taylor and David Mount of Port Perry. Remembering him with love are: his sister Marion Wallace, brothers Robert and Douglas Healey. Loving companion of 26 years, Olive Cox (Healey). Jack passed away May 6, 1993 in his 72nd year at Oshawa General Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. LePage at the Wagg Funeral Home on May 8, 1993. Pallbearers were Kenneth Wallace, Mike and Todd Heal- ey, Fred, Wayne and Jeff Cox. Interment at Pine Grove Ceme- tery, Prince Albert, Ontario.
