Flooring 22 London Life Lazers 8 This was a hard fought game played at Cartwright Public School on Thursday, June 17. Lazers Matthew Welts hit two triples which scored two runs. Two super outs were made at first base by Danny Deeth with assistance of the pitcher Matthew Welts. Garrett Brown had a super fifth inning with having a major hand in all three outs of the inning. In the final inning, Matthew Welts caught a great fly ball in the out field. h For J.C. Flooring, Brian Won- nacott had three strikeouts in the first. There were triples hit by Mike Barlow, Jeremy Johns, Ryan Woods, Joey Derynck, Kyle McCiurg. Doubles were re- - corded by Joey Derynck, Nicho- las Malcolm, Brian Wonnacott and Kyle McClurg. A great dou- ble play was recorded with a pop up to Jeremy Johns at first and a throw to catch the runner off third base. SOFTBALL Week of June 21 T-Ball Analda Garden Centre 14 Tech Drywall 13 Both teams played an excit- ing game. For Analda Matthew Romain hit two triples. Tykes H&M Wright Sox 7 Swain Seeds 5 H & M Wright Sox narrowly defeated Swain Seeds by a score of 7-5. Things started out good for the Wright Sox in the first in- ning with three runs and three HELP! : wf' : In Erde eeks time, more runs in the third inning. In the top of the fourth Swain Seeds came roaring back with five runs to close the gap to one run. The Wright Sox added an insurance run in the bottom of the fourth, then held off Swain Seeds in the top of the fifth to finish 7-5. Brent MacGregor for the Wright Sox hit a good double and later Abby McLaughlin stole second. Good pitching was performed by Jonathan Wotten, Cory Pros- ser and Brent MacGregor. For Swain Seeds Mark Vern- est had a good hit in the fourth toload the bases and Mark Car- naghan made a great double playin the third. Mike Baker Automotive 17 Carpet Warehouse 6 For Mike Baker there were some good hits including a home run by Ashley Lucas and a double for Jeffrey Kraan. Some good pitching was done by Stephen Jensen with three strikeouts and. Leslie Magyar with three strikeouts and catching a pop fly in the third inning to the inning down. Good eyes at the plate led to walks by Stephanie Kings- well, Rebekah Vanoostveen, Lawrence MacDonald, Steven Vine, Melodie Bellisle, Cathe- rine DeJong and Leslie Magyar.
