Mr. Mills said the problems at the Scugog centre have "been handled and resolved." Although the centre may have corrected the problem, Ms. Williamson is concerned that it could have a negative effect on the centre. "I hope yesterday's news doesn't jeopardize funding for the sexual assault services that are so important," she said. During the 1992/93 fiscal year the Scugog centre received $210,000 in funding from the Solicitor General's Office. It also raised an additional $154,000 through bingos and the sale of Nevada tickets.
