A quaint century-old farm- house on a quiet rural road in Scugog has been buzzing with activity since a film crew ar- rived late Wednesday evening to shoot a made-for-television movie. the filming takes place, the The home, owned by Ray and Dorothy Monro of Concession 8, is one of the main filming loca- tions for the CBS movie "Inci- dent in a Small Town". Filming is expected to continue at the Monro home until early next week. (Other Ontario locations include Beeton and Toronto.) Although the couple has had to move out of their home while Movie stars Walter Matthau and Harry Morgan share a few . words during a break in filming "Incident in a Small Town." "Everyone has been just so nice to us," Mrs. Monro says, adding that the cast and crew sent her a bouquet of flowers for her birthday. They have also been fur- nished with a mobile home so they can be close to the action, and are invited to eat with the cast and crew each day. The Monros say the film's mo- vie stars are very nice and down-to-earth. "Incident in a Small Town", which tells the story of two lawyers and their long lost daughter, stars Harry Morgan, Stephanie Zimbalist, and Walter Matthau. Even the Monros' dog Tinker, a Jack Russell terrier, is getting in on the action. He immediate- ly hit it off with Dippy, Ms. Zim- balist's Heinz 57. : According to the film's direc- tor Delbert Mann (who won an Oscar for his direction of "Mar- ty"), the two-hour movie will ap- pear on CBS sometime this win- ter. : "Incident in a Small Town" is the third of a series of movies starring Mr. Matthau and Mr. Morgan in recurring roles.
