If you can't make this Friday's meeting but plan to at- tend the campout, you must in- form Sandra before Friday night so she will know how many are coming. Church this week will be a joint service with Goodwood which will be held in Utica Unit- ed Church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Burton in charge. This is also Food Bank week. Vacation Bible School will be held the week of Aug. 16 to 20 in Epsom Church from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Children up to 13 years of age are welcome. Come and bring a friend. There were 11 tables of eu- chre on Friday evening with the following coming out winners: Ladies first - Verna Slute, sec- ond - Myrtle Gimblett, third - Vera Fawns. Men's first - Caro- lyn Parish, second - Celeste Smalley, third - Irwin Kydd. Most lone hands (with four each) were Carolyn Parish; Ir- Prince Albert news. Mr. and Mrs. Les Gibson of Coboconk visited friends and relatives one day last week, ending up at a family barbecue. It's great to have the Dave Ja- mieson's back. They spent two and a half weeks in Great Brit- ain. Chris was anxious to get out onto the golf course again. Les and Grace Beacock were with her sister Mary Devitt at Oshawa for a couple of days. This was due to Grace's eye sur- gery. She seems fine now. Beth and Lloyd Pereman have returned from holidays. So have Chuck and Beth Willes. It was nice to hear that their fami- lies joined them. Sympathy is extended to the family of Mrs. Hatti (Shunk) Ir- win. She had lived just south of Prince Albert for most of her girlhood days. Many thanks to the Rensinks for looking after her. Sympathy to one of our regu- lar euchre players, Verna Drap- er, whose daughter lost her life in a traffic accident on Friday. Our thoughts were with her and her family on Friday evening. Robert and Dale Slack, Aldon and Jay Smith and daughters Meghen and Britini were in To- ronto on Thursday evening to enjoy the Blue Jay game at the Dome. On Sunday, the Slacks hosted the Anthony family pic- nic with approx. 50 members in attendance to enjoy a beef bar- becue and to celebrate the 91st birthday of Gramma Anthony, whose sister Ethel Seebeck of , Uxbridge was also present. Gramma Anthony is from Markham. The children also en- Joyed a hayride, courtesy of the Stevensons. Irene Fielding attended the first, birthday celebrations for great-grandson Kristopher Fielding on Saturday. On Sun- day, Rhonda Hutton of Whitby, visited. I spent the weekend in Am- herstview with son Charlie and family. A very enjoyable time was spent with the grandchil- dren and also took advantage of the swimming pool. Dave and Jane Tracey and boys spent Sunday touring Cul- len Gardens. Jean Scott of London spent a few days with her mother Mrs. Crosier.
