The Blackstock Sunday School sang: What a surprise party was held on Sunday afternoon to honor Rev. Dale and Anita Da- vis on the occasion of their up- coming retirement. What began with a carriage ride to church, in the beautiful carriage drawn by the dappled grey team driv- en by Glenn and Steve Grove in their great outfits, developed into a great event. An overflow congregation had many former residents who had returned for the party. Dale and Anita were driven by the carriage for a tour of the village and taken to the Recreation Centre where a large number had assembled. Using various theatre games, improvisations and story-telling creations, Foote hopes to give the kids a chance to stretch their creative muscles and imaginations.
