Miss Menzies, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Men- zies, was selected by a panel of judges in the personality- based contest. She faced competition from more than 90 other Ontario teens in the 16-19 year old category. She received a modelling scholarship and an all- - expense paid trip to the national pageant being held in Orlando, Florida early next year. Karen Black, a 13-year-old Port Perry resident; placed fourth in the 13-15 year old category. She has also received an invitation to compete in the national pa- geant. A third local contestant, 17-year-old Reni Wilkins, also did well in the pageant. Although she didn't make it into the top 10 in her age division, her mother Jinda told the Star Monday morning that she did an otsianding job and was a fine representative for the area.
