There were no commercial permits is- sued in the first seven months of last year. Additions to institutions and government buildings was an- other bright spot for Scugog this year as two permits have been issued at a value of $5,177,000. This is up substantially from the one permit at a value of $4,0001ast year. Despite the relatively impres- sive numbers this year, there have been some disappoint- ments. Both the value and number of permits in the industrial and agricultural sector has declined this year.
