Marie 'Snooks of Fenelon Falls passed away at the Com- munity Memorial Hospital in Port Perry on Friday, July 30, 1993, after a lengthy illness, at age 70. She was born on Aug. 11, 1922 in Caesarea, Ontario to parents Ida May "Tot" (nee McDermott) and Victor Edward Hayden. She attended school in the area and completed 2 years at Port Perry High School. Marie married Harold C. Snooks on Nov. 3, 1943 and to- gether they had two children: Bonnie and Richard. In her spare time when her children were grown, Marie was busy with her hobbies such as golfing, fishing, reading, nee- dlework and was active in the Port Perry Curling Club for many years. She was particu- larly happiest to be living on or near 'the water (Lake, Scugog, Burnt River or the Gulf of Mexi- Co). Mrs. Snooks is survived by her companion of many years, Bruce McCoy of Rosedale, her daughter Bonnie and her hus- band Robert Nesbitt of Sutton, and her son Richard Snooks and his wife Joyce of Kingston, her mother Tot Rahm, her sis- ters Joan Huntley of Whitney, Doreen Fish of Sonya and Faye Taylor of Saintfield. Marie was predeceased by her father, her husband and her brother Thom- as Hayden. Not only was she a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother but a dear friend to many. A funeral service was held in the McDermott-Panabaker Chapel of the Wagg Funeral Home in Port Perry on Monday, Aug. 2 with Rev. Elaine Barber officiating. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery in Prince Albert. Memorial donations were made to Community Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the . Canadian Cancer Society. Y' yi}
